Assalamualaikum and good evening to all. It has been an honour to stand here in front all of you in this 20th ARCIIUM Annual Grand Meeting 2010. I’m still shocked with my post. It is a huge responsibility to be the new president of ARCIIUM. And to be honest, I think that there is a better candidate to fit in this post.
First and foremost, I would like to thank all the members for giving me the chance to head this new management board . It is my pleasure to continue the legacy of our previous great presidents and make sure that ARCIIUM will be a respected club as always.
According to Bro Amin , our ex-President, ARC was established since 1989.It has been a long and memorable journey for our club since then. The existence of this club brings many benefit that only club members can explain it. We make new friends from different background and courses, enhance our self-confidence and communication skills and without doubt ,lead a healthy lifestyle.
With more than 200 members to date, our club is in the right track to host bigger events within this new academic term. Insya-Allah with the support from Sports and Recreation Complex, we hope to organize event that can be participated not only by our club members but also open to all IIUM students. It will be a great pleasure to have a supportive unit such us SNRC.
My personal expectation towards this club would be much the same with our ex-President. Let us hope that many more IIUM students will join our club’s activities and ARCIIUM will be a well known household name.
Before ending my speech, on behalf of the ARCIIUM new management committees 2010/2011 session, I would like to ask from all of you to work with us not for us. We live to deliver. We are like family members, and family will always stay united and work together. Let us hope that somehow, we can work it out together. With that, I end my speech with wabillahi taufiq wal hidayah.
